Sirius/XM or XM/Sirius???
Wednesday, November 12th, 2008Yesterday peeped a bit of info about lineup changes for XM due to the merger. Some of the Sirius channels were moving over to XM and needless to say, XM subscribers were rather miffed over the channels they were loosing. Little did I know that a couple of the channels I listen(ed) to regularly would be given the axe on my Sirius subscription.
Buzzsaw: playing classic hard rock/metal such as Scorpions, Van Halen, Iron Maiden, Ozzy, Priest, Metallica, Aerosmith as well as stuff I can’t say I ever heard on regular radio like Zebra, Trooper, UFO, Budgie, Saxon.. the list goes on. Now replaced by Boneyard which, whenI heard it on XM, sounded like Hair Nationand is currently playing the ACDC channel until January.
Boombox: playing drum and bass, break beat, electro-rock. It’s just gone which is quite sad because I heard a lot of great remixes and mashups there along with some awesome electronic music. The claim on the site is that Alt Nation will play breaks and electro…but I have a hard time seeing that.
It’s only day one of the change…so maybe it will get better. At least they didn’t take away ALL of the stations I listen to.
