Interesting thoughts, Goins. Dogs don't have a conscious and I don't think they can reason..they work in basics. Therefore, if they're in a defensive mode, they don't see the difference between an adult throwing rocks at them or a child doing the same. Interestingly enough, I have known dogs to not like kids or men but I have never seen a dog that doesn't like women.

Most people overlook the simple fact that that all dogs require a specific kind of owner...so, if you don't lead an active lifestyle, getting a dog like a Boarder Collie or any herding dog which requires a lot of exercise, that's clearly the wrong dog for you.

Every time I see a story about a pitbull biting or injuring a toddler sized child, I wonder why a parent's allow their child to be alone with this kind of dog KNOWING that they are prone to this behavior? I don't get it.

With every dog come a certain level of understanding..and when you have kids, you need to teach your kids to respect the dog..cautious respect and understanding.

I'm concerned that the Pit bull requires a specific sort of owner...these dogs, regardless of how 'supportive' still have teeth, are nevertheless creatures not having moral ideas and once they DO bite, won't allow go. As in all creatures...some have a tendency to be a lot more suseptable to instinctual behavior and time and time again, this breed tends to complete just that.

As a participant of the 404C conversation you mention, I'd like to add my $0.02 here. It's really rather depressing that, as large a community of developers, designers, and other artists that we have here in Atlanta, the individuals in this community are *not* in communion with one another.

I don't know what, if anything, can be done about this sad state of affairs. I've been in Atlanta for close to 18 years, and have seen many attempts at building a solid design community sprout up and quickly whither.

Hopefully other designers will see this and weigh in with their thoughts and ideas. I'm tapped.

I've done two campaigns with Eyewonder, mostly for video content within expanding banners. Fun stuff. Tweenlite has become by best friend for interactive coolness. I can't remember if we used the two together for either of those campaigns but I can look into it.

Do you use EyeWonder at Moxie? I use it a lot myself, TweenLite too. Today I have a bug in my banner that I want to blame on those two products not getting along, and thus the search that led me to find this post.

I'm with you, I really am going to miss the Steve Show. One of the first thoughts I had when I heard I was moving to ATL was that FINALLY I'd get to listen to 99X in the car (I'd been listening online for many years from far away).

I can't believe I missed the final Retroplex! I wish I knew someone, anyone that recorded it on the 17th. Heck, I wish I knew someone that had been recording them all along so I could get my Retroplex fix. Bummer.

I certainly hope Steve does something similar for the NY crowd. And this time, I promise to record it so I can listen again later!

That's awesome that you're picking up on the old skills. I get rusty at things really fast if I don't keep in practice.

You said before that you were a big CSSZenGarden fan, and found inspiration there. Perhaps you could go find more places like that to keep you on track. Good luck!
